1.   Information we collect 

By subscribing to the RESCUE network, newsletters and other dissemination activities, the RESCUE project collects personal information such as name, organisation, address, email address or phone number, as well as other information you submit to us to receive project-related information and get connected to our consortium. 

We also collect technical information about your computer, device and connection information, that do not require an explicit consent by the users to be deployed, such as browsing or session cookies to log into the website and IP address. We cannot see which individual visitors are behind which visits to our website.

2.   How we use your information 

We use third-party cookies to improve your experience and analyse our services in accordance with your search habits through Google Analytics. We will need your explicit consent for the use of analytical cookies. Your data will be subject to international transfer to the United States and will be stored until it is necessary for the purpose following the parameters stipulated by the entity.

We use your personal information to: 

Disseminate information about the project and the activities organised by the project;
Respond to your requests, comments and concerns;
Notify you about changes, updates and other announcements. 
Your personal data is processed according to the General Data Protection Regulation [GDPR; Regulation (EU) 2016/679] of the European Parliament.

3.   Information we share with third parties

We do not sell, trade or otherwise transfer to outside parties your personal identifiable information. We use cookies from third parties and specifically those of the service offered by Google Analytics; which is a web statistics service offered by Google, Inc. 4.   Accessing and updating your information 

Registered users may access and update their personal information or deactivate their user account by contacting the RESCUE project rescue-climate@bsc.es. In the case of the intranet, the registered user can cancel his/her account on his own at the link Cancel account. 

You have the right under European and certain other privacy and data protection laws, as may be applicable, to request free of charge (i) access to and correction or deletion of your personal information; (ii) restriction of our processing of your personal information; (iii) objection to our processing; and (iv) portability of your personal information. If you wish to exercise any of these rights, please contact us as the contact details below. We will respond to your request consistent with applicable laws. 


5.   Unsubscribing 

If at any time you would like to unsubscribe from receiving further emails, please send an email to rescue-climate@bsc.es.


6.   Data retention & security

We retain your personal information for as long as necessary to provide essential purposes of the RESCUE project. 

The personal data you have provided will be incorporated into the files of BSC-CNS servers, CIF: S- 0800099-D located in C/ Jordi Girona n. 31, 08034 Barcelona (Spain). 

We are committed to using appropriate technical and organisational measures intended to protect the security of your personal information.
