Policy Event: The Road to Net Zero
By Andria Nicodemou
RESCUE participates in policy event hosted by the LANDMARC project in Brussels.
Since its early stages, RESCUE has been closely collaborating and building on the findings of the LANDMARC project, which focuses on how to scale up land-based mitigation technologies and practices in ways that work for the people and the planet.
As LANDMARC is coming to an end this year, the project is hosting a policy event in collaboration with RESCUE and the European project, ConsenCUS, which works to provide an industrial roadmap to a net-zero carbon future.
Taking place on Thursday 28 November 2024 at 10:30-16:30 CET in Brussels, the event focuses on "The Road to Net Zero" and the role of carbon farming, removal and capture. The event explores what governments can do and what they are already doing to help scale up these different solutions in order to meet the ambitious climate ambitions.
This policy dialogue brings together experts from the three projects to discuss key findings related to policy that emerge from their research and stakeholder engagement work.
RESCUE takes part with a session discussing lessons learned on the role of carbon dioxide removal, bringing insights from the project's international policy workshop, COP29 side event and other policy-related activities.
